Choosing the right shower door!
Sure you could go to a discount lumber yard and buy a shower door. Take
it home only to find out after installing it that it does not look right.
It looks crooked!
Why does my door swing open by itself?
Why does my sliding door open just when I am shampooing in my
hair? The answer is an out of level condition. There are many
causes that make that happen. It may start with the basic foundation of
your home. It could be settling of your home or just poor workmanship of
the carpenters or plumbers that set the tub. Some times it is in the molding
of the fiberglass tub.
The causes are complex and you really do not
need to be alarmed. It can be easily fixed. Many of the doors we work on
need help getting them into a level condition. Alumax has all the necessary
pieces we need to shim your door back level making sure your door operates
the way you expect.
When our trained salesperson measures your shower
enclosure they are on the look out for things that are out level. Our installers
verify the condition before they begin their installation.
When we
look at the enclosure your are requesting, we will suggest the best door
that will contain the water where it is supposed to be. That elegant frameless
shower door you wanted so bad may not be the right door because of the placement
of the shower head or the slope of the sill, water flowing at the joints
in the heavy glass unit is an extremely bad condition.
Containing
the water is our primary goal. Our recommendations are based on our 24 years
of service.
